Hey everyone,
Well, it’s been a while. Last time I wrote in my journal we were in the midst of prep and deciding what format we would shoot the film in. Since then we’ve completed principal photography and are now beginning to edit the picture. I can honestly say producing and co-directing this film was by far the most difficult and intense, yet incredibly rewarding working experience I have ever had. Making movies is fun but in no way is it easy. The film making process is fraught with potential catastrophes around every corner, and you must be prepared to face any number of unexpected challenges at a moment’s notice.

Hey there everyone,
Michael Manasseri here, Big Screen Senior VP and co-director/producer of "Babysitter Wanted". We officially began casting for our lead actress yesterday at our offices on the Raleigh Studios lot. The writer/co-director Jonas Barnes and I auditioned about 20 terrific actresses for the role of Angie, our "babysitter" in the film. I'm happy to report that some of these young women who came in to read really knocked our socks off.
The first day of casting can be quite nerve-racking as you've never really heard the words of the script before and you're keeping your fingers crossed that the scenes and emotional moments actually work. Again, we were thrilled with how the scenes played and very relieved that the words on the page read extremely well.
We will have at least three more days of initial casting for the role before we narrow down our top choices and then have "call backs".
Also, in the next few days we will begin the process of taking submissions from agents and managers for the other supporting players in the film.
So, we are officially in the "prep" stages of the film. As we cast the project we are also in the initial stages of "crewing up". Meeting potential directors of photography, testing which cameras we may use, planning our locations scouts...
Jonas and I will be keeping this "Babysitter Wanted Journal" informing you of what's going on and hopefully it will be an insightful process for anyone who wants to know the real inside scoop on what it is like to actually make a movie from start to finish.
All the best,
Michael Manasseri

 Thaao Penghlis
A hundred and twenty five degrees on a camel, let me tell you…
If you’re not familiar with the cultural background of soap opera icon and international celebrity Thaao Penghlis, the preceding statement might sound a little, well… exotic. But having been good friends with the actor/writer/producer/adventurer for nearly a decade I can personally attest that the foregoing is just the beginning of yet another very true and fascinating tale of Thaao’s travels.
Known the world over for his portrayal of Count Anthony Dimera on the long running NBC soap opera, "Days of Our Lives" as well as the role of Nicholas Black in the remake of the television series "Mission Impossible", Thaao recently starred in Big Screen Entertainment Group’s murder mystery, "The Mirror". Having served double duty as an actor and co-producer on the feature film, Thaao felt that some much needed R and R was in order. But instead of jetting off to the high profile vacation haunts of the rich and famous, Thaao decided to revisit one of his favorite destination spots, the archaeological wonders of Ancient Egypt.

Writer/Director/Editor Stephen Eckelberry is no stranger to having people watch him. He was, after all, a willing participant in a reality television show. And reality T.V. is exactly where he got the inspiration for his new murder mystery, The Mirror.
Sitting down with the uber-busy triple-threat Eckelberry, it becomes very clear how he conceived and eventually turned The Mirror into a full-length nail biter.

 Lightfield Home Videos
What would your life be like if you were Hollywood elite? What if your best friends were Beck and Cuba Gooding Jr, and your little sister was a movie star? Your days would be spent rocking out to mellow beats, drinking Perrier water on your patio, and your nights would be squandered attending invite-only parties, and VIP clubs on Sunset Strip. It almost seems like a dream, but for Lightfield Lewis, it’s life; it’s routine. For the rest of us, however, there are home videos.
